WW1 era, 18th Manitoba Mounted Rifles Group Picture

WW1 era, or possibly pre WW1 group picture of officers and men of the 18th Mounted Rifles from Manitoba. Group of officers and men sitting in front of tents in a camp, possibly Sewell or Camp Hughes. Picture shows age fading, but with loop you can make out the badges quite well. Matte is in rough condition, and has some staining spots not shown well by the pictures. Written on ink on the back "8th Military Regiment at Carmen 1916", hmmm ?
