OBSOLETE, ESQUIMALT British Columbia, POLICE Shoulder Badge

OBSOLETE, Shoulder strap badge (I think that is where it was worn). Brass metal, top banner with word POLICE on it over a centre banner with ESQUIMALT (Naval Base on Vancouver Island) on it over attached number 4 6. 39.40mm high by 37.10mm wide. Lugs have been replaced using solder. Shows some wear to high points but all detail can still be made out. Hard to find these early items.
