1914 British, WW1 ROYAL ENGINEER'S Sweetheart Pin / Box. Sterling Silver.

British, ROYAL ENGINEER'S, Geo V, sweetheart pin. Looks to be a hand done badge likeness of the Geo V issue Engineer's crest, in Silver metal on a dark shell backing, which is mounted in a pin backed silver round holder. 27.44mm across. Marked on the back of the holder Sterling Silver mark, maker maker mark and word PATENT. The pin is found in a flip lid box, blue, with 1914 over Prince of Wales Plumes over WAR SOUVENIR words. On the inside of the lid words, ESTAB. 1848 over W. WRIGHT, Ltd over several address. Lid of box is trimmed in red and a small piece of the blue cover peeled from the front of the lid edge. Box show some slight scuffing on edges. Pin in excellent condition. Very nice piece.
