Vintage RCMP Sports Sweater

Red knit sports shirt with felt maple leaf with letters RCMP individually stitched on. Small tear in the felt. On reverse, 2. This shirt shows, use wear, repairs. Very old. Tag inside reads " Dominion Knit, Winnipeg, 100% Pure Worsted Yarn. ". If I had to say, I would think 1940's or earlier. Likely 1 of a kind at this age.
