USA E Production Award Pin Sterling Silver

In WW2 the US Government instituted an award system for Production called the "E" Award. It was awarded for manufactures who supplied the Army and Navy with goods. This pin is marked, BUSCH-SULZER, and STERLING on the back, it is a round pin, with Stars on an outside circle banner on blue enamel with a white enamel E over Spread Winged EAGLE on a Sailing Ship design with ANCHOR, indicating a Navy issue, over bottom banner with words FOR PRODUCTION. Single screw post with nut fastener. 20mm wide by 23mm high. Well made pin.
