1821 pattern Light Cavalry Officer’s Sword
1821, Light Cavalry, Officer’s Sword. 32” blade etched with Victorian Crown. Maker marked, SYMONS HALIFAX NOVA SCOTIA and gold disk with word PROVED and P on it. ENGRAVED on the top bar of the Hilt, words, LT. COL. F.B. MACDONALD 6 MED COY. R.C.A.M.C,. Also engraved, on the back band of the grip the words, LT. COL. M.F. RONAN/16th HORSE ARTILLERY. Shark skin hilt, showing some wear area. Brown leather cover wooden scabbard, shows scuff marks and the end tip missing approx. 3” of the leather and small amount on the top end. Stamped on the top of the leather words KELLY HALIFAX stamped. Interesting double owners named (Which I haven't Researched but both being Lt.Cols. the information should be there.
