An interesting grouping pertaining to Flight Officer J26663 Russell Holmes MacDonald. MacDonald born in Prince Albert in 1915 a few months after his father was killed on Vimy Ridge. He was later a newspaperman and principal founder of Western Producer Prairie Books. He played a major role in the development of Saskatoon Libraries and the Provincial library system. During WW2 he trained as a fighter pilot and was assigned to an instructional role training many front line pilots across the commonwealth. Later taking a role at U of S helping returning veterans from the war.

This group includes the book Saskatchewan Agriculture, Lives Past and Present, where there is a multi page write up on him. His Full size and mini medals (Canadian issue in silver), Cap badge, General Service badge (numbered 849531), and pilots wing.

A great group with more research potential.
