POSTCARD WW1 CEF, 157th, 177, 207 BATTALION STUDIO

POSTCARD.  Studio pose.  Solider wearing flat top peaked hat, 7 button tunic, breeches, putties, boots.  He has a leather belt with buckle and holding swagger stick.  This is a bit of a mystery to me.  The collar badges he is wearing appear to be the Kings Crown over circle banner with Maple Leaf in centre over bottom beaver, as worn by the 157th, 177th, 207th Battalions.  The Cap badge is what has got me.  It appears to be a VICTORIAN Crown over a rough circle design with a centre ball type design with rays running from it, doesn’t fit the description of the above mentioned as it is plainly not smooth round.  Excellent detail on the uniform and the badges but cannot say for sure what Battalion.  Back blank. $20.00
