A Bidders Guide to Marway Militaria  Auctions.

This page is meant to help new and old bidders with placing bids in our auctions.

• Always read the Conditions of Sale page before placing bids ( this page is on the inside cover of the first page of the printed catalogue).

On the front of your mailing envelope, beside your name is an issued bidding number ( if you have placed bids with us before). Please add this number to your bidders sheet. Any correspondence with Marway Militaria’s Auctions should include this number.

• In the catalogue, an * beside an item lot ie: *A1 indicates that there is a picture available in the catalogue ( on occasion, if space does not allow, we will not place a photograph in the catalogue, although it is listed).

• If time allows, we are happy to scan or take a digital camera photo of any lot that is for sale in our auction, and send it via email, mail or fax. A fax copy does not come out clear through our fax machine, but it can help with size . Please note, that descriptions are given in the catalogue, and Wayne does a very good job at these descriptions. Please limit the amount of scans that you would like. Any requests made two or three days before the auction date may not be processed as it is a busy time around here.

The prices that are in quotations ($25-30) are given as estimates only to help with placing bids. Yes, you can bid higher, and we suggest that you do. When you place a bid it is seen as a limit, Marway Militaria will act as your agent, and the bidding will be open at a figure of 10% above the recorded second highest bid received,( this is your bid), or at the low figure of the estimate if no other bids are received. No Bids will be accepted below 50% of the low estimate shown. Please note to bidders who put in “super high” bids ‘secure’ a lot. You do take the chance of having another bidder place a similar bid to yours, therefore, please only bid what you are willing to pay.

• A  reserve List is featured at the end of each Auction catalogue for the previous auction. This is a good opportunity to pick up lots that you might have missed in the previous sale.

• We also include a  Prices Realized section at the end of each catalogue from the previous sale, for your reference. Errors can happen when entering in the prices realized, if you have any questions or concerns please get in touch with us.

• We are happy to give you an update on what the bids are on current lots. You may call, email or fax your request up to 6PM the day before the auction.
